This is a series uses reverse punches for attacks, open hand blocks for defense, and reverse punches for counter. All blocks are outside blocks. Each exercise is performed 4 times.
Numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 are executed by first stepping back with the left leg into a right forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance; step back with the right into a left forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance; turn to face left while stepping back with the left leg into a right forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance; turn to face right while stepping back with the right leg into a left forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready.
Brown belts and higher will execute 2 additional sets.
Turn to face the rear while stepping back with the left leg into a right forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance; Turn to face the rear while stepping back with the right leg into a left forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance.
Number 5 is executed by first stepping back with the right leg into a left forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance; step back with the left into a right forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance; turn to face right while stepping back with the right leg into a left forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance; turn to face left while stepping back with the left leg into a right forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready.
Brown belts and higher will execute 2 additional sets.
Turn to face the rear while stepping back with the right leg into a left forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance; Turn to face the rear while stepping back with the left leg into a right forward stance, execute the defense and counter, back to the ready stance.
1. Attack: Reverse punch to the face.
Defense: Execute a cresent block.
Counter: Hook punch to the temple.
2. Attack: Reverse punch to the face.
Defense: Execute circular block.
Counter: Punch to the face.
3. Attack: Reverse punch to the face.
Defense: Execute a wrist chicken head block.
Counter: Punch to the body.
4. Attack: Reverse punch to the chest.
Defense: Execute a tensho block.
Counter: Inverted punch to the stomach.
5. Attack: Reverse punch to the chest.
Defense: Execute a palm heel block.
Counter: Punch to the ribs.
6. Attack: Reverse punch to the chest.
Defense: Execute a wrist hooking block.
Counter: Punch to the face.
